Description

Compact and lightweight, the Aro 3 is the perfect wheel ski helmet for the summer season. It provides a comfortable fit with the BOA® system, which adjusts around the entire circumference of the helmet. We particularly like this helmet for its very flat profile at the back, ideal for wheel-skiing, especially for biathletes, as it quickly absorbs the impact of the rifle barrel on the back of the helmet. The front of the helmet and the entire summit area are covered by vast aeration zones, and Oakley describes it as its mountain helmet par excellence. The Oakley look is also highly commendable, as the company always comes up with effective and original products. A small technical detail: the vents above the temples are designed to hold Oakley goggles on the helmet, an accessory but a practical one in the event of heavy rain.

As for protection, the helmet's interior is made of absorbent EPS foam, like most helmets on the market. An added bonus in terms of protection is the addition of MIPS technology, a system designed to protect against structural damage. The system is simple: a thin layer of plastic is added between the foams and the crêpe, which slides over the helmet in the event of impact. This principle allows the force of the impact to be distributed over a wider area, thus maximizing the load on the helmet at the exact point of impact. Proven to add a real plus in the event of a fall, this system has been used by a large number of manufacturers over the past few seasons.

We selected this helmet because we find it very comfortable for wheel skiing, close to the body, very airy, and ideal for cross-country skiers in summer. We've opted for three different colors.

- Black Matt for those who like a sober look and practice wheel skiing on the slopes.

- Neon Orange and Retina Burn for on-road use with maximum visibility.
