Description

Sharp shoveling machine with unique pick function and efficient D-handle! With its 3.1 litre bucket, the KODIAK is the largest and therefore fastest shovel in the entire Ortovox range. The bucket is extremely rigid (AL 6061 T6 = the best for shovels), yet easy to store in any oRTOVOX backpack. It has a sharp cutting edge and grooves on the top of the bucket for easy footing. The handle is oval (=rigid), telescopic and has a non-slip rubber grip. The D-handle is the most ergonomic on the market and offers maximum power in the snow. It has become more compact than the previous version, without losing working length. Another new feature is the flat bucket, perfect for professional snow cutting.

It is equipped with a unique pick function. The resulting ideal fit between handle and bucket saves crucial seconds when it comes to saving a life.
The editors of the German magazine 'Bergsteiger' underlined the perfection of the Kodiak by awarding it the prize for versatility!
