Description

Adapted from the adult SCS range, this ski is particularly appropriate for younger skiers who are learning to skate. Its performance is inspired by the more advanced collections to offer both comfort and development to young cross-country skiers.

What are the characteristics of the Fischer SCS Skate NIS Junior cross-country ski?

Stability is this ski’s biggest asset, because, in order to be able to learn how to skate effectively, it is of the utmost importance that you feel at ease on the ski and can get to grips with the gliding motion. This stability is all thanks to the ski’s ‘Air Channel’ core; the air channels drilled into the glass fibre coated wooden core result in impressive efficiency on firm snow, where it can be difficult to find your footing. When going in a straight line, the narrower dimension lines produce a similar performance to that found in a high-end ski making gliding easier and therefore helping to preserve energy over several kilometres. Docile enough to gently introduce a child to skating, but also sufficiently technical to help them develop, the Fischer SCS Skate is the perfect ski to help familiarise children with the skating technique whilst still allowing them to move at their own pace.

Who is the Fischer SCS Slate NIS Junior cross-country ski designed for?

Children weighing from 1,10, and 20 kg will be able to start skiing using the smallest length of this ski (122); Fischer has made a significant effort to offer even the youngest skiers the opportunity to learn how to skate in the most comfortable way possible. Furthermore, the SCS is a development ski that will not suddenly be too limited technically as it helps children gain experience; the only limit will be growth and weight gain.
