The Amplid Souly Grail is a directional snowboard with a tapered shape, setback foot stance and well-balanced flex between power and playfulness. This high-end board is designed to be pleasant to ride in the entire resort and notably for turning. It offers good abilities on any type of snow with great glide, without being too challenging. 

What is the Amplid Souly Grail snowboard made for? 

The Souly Grail features a directional shape with a fish tail which is slightly narrower than the nose. The goal is to improve the manoeuvrability and ability to lift in pow and offer more control when turning, while retaining good versatility. The HEXO2 wood core is reinforced by biaxial fibreglass, offering more responsiveness and stability, while improving the handling and floatability. The camber + rocker profile offers rebound between turns and provides more forgiveness and easy turn initiations. The balanced flex also provides enough stiffness for carving.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
