Description

The Ticket is a middle of the range model from Amplid, the brand aims at offering a very versatile performance all-mountain/freeride board, at a fair price. To do so, it offers a directional twin shape, classic camber + rockers, a wood core reinforced by biaxial glass fibre, as well as a durable and easy to maintain extruded base.

What is the Amplid Ticket snowboard program?

Congratulation, you just got your ticket to the freeride world. Before shredding the mountains, you will need to hone your skills. To do so, the Ticket offers a simple construction with a wood core reinforced by biaxial glass fibre, for a flex that provides responsiveness and stability, yet remains very easy to handle. The classic camber is there but not too substantial, it offers secure grip without being treacherous. The nose and tail rockers improve the glide in transformed snow, allow to lift easily in powder and facilitate edge transfers on hardpack. Finally, the slightly setback foot stance allows to ride the Ticket with more ease, to initiate turns effortlessly, have better control over your trajectories, while benefiting from better floatability in powder.

Who is the Amplid Ticket snowboard for?

We recommend this model to intermediate and advanced level snowboarders looking for the most versatile snowboard to progress in all-mountain/freeride in the entire resort.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
