Description

The Arbor Ethos has a high-quality construction and uses sustainable materials. The wood shell is FSC certified, the steel of the edges is made of recycled steel, and the resin and wax are made from vegetable materials. An ecologically designed snowboard, for a robust, aesthetic and very pleasant to ride result.

What is the Arbor Ethos snowboard programme?

The Ethos benefits from a Resort Mountain Twin shape, a sort of directional twin that borrows the manoeuvrability and floatation of a freeride board with the playability and balance of a freestyle board. Ideal for a multi-purpose practice in the resort. The soft flex makes it easy to handle and the inverted camber provides a lot of forgiveness regarding edge faults while offering a good glide in powder snow. Therefore, you feel comfortable learning the basics and linking turns with ease throughout the resort.

Who is the Arbor Ethos snowboard for?

We recommend this model to the beginner or intermediate snowboarder looking for a tolerant and accessible board with which they can progress and advance to the next level.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
