The Bataleon 20Y Board is a directional twin snowboard that celebrates 20 years of the brand. Well, yes, it’s been 20 years since Bataleon started treating us with boards that have gone down in snowboarding’s history. On the topsheet, you’ll find the 400 board designs the brand has produced these last 20 years, and the 400 different bases on the base. Regarding the board itself, you’ll find the same performance as the Goliath, the brand’s staple model. It offers a good balance between performance and forgiveness, to have fun and progress in all-mountain freestyle.  

What is the programme of the Bataleon 20Y snowboard? 

The 20Y is a very versatile board, that allows to ride every terrain with lots of playfulness and manoeuvrability. Its wood core is reinforced by triaxial fiberglass and carbon, for a rather responsive flex and good torsional stiffness. The traditional camber provides good rebound out of turns and pop for ollies. The board handles very reliably on powder, to slash fresh snow, and the 3BT (3 Base Technology) improves the control and playfulness for freestyle.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
