The added firmness translates into noticeably greater pop and improved edge hold, without sacrificing the flexibility needed for tricks.

What is the Bataleon Disaster+ snowboard made for?

The Disaster+ builds on all that makes the Disaster great, but with a beefed-up construction. Its symmetrical twin-tip shape, wood core reinforced with triaxial fibreglass and carbon inserts, plus its Hyper Glide S base deliver explosive sensations. Shock Walls along the edges boost durability and absorb impacts from heavy landings. Its traditional camber profile ensures solid grip on hard-packed groomers and provides powerful rebound when you load up your turns or ollies. Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
