Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Bataleon Evil Teen is the junior version of the Evil Twin, the brand’s iconic park board: same freestyle DNA, same spirit, in a size designed for young riders who are rapidly improving. It’s designed for junior snowboarders—both boys and girls—who want to get serious about the park without having to struggle with their gear.

What’s the deal with the Bataleon Evil Teen snowboard?

The Bataleon Evil Teen is a board built for the park: kickers, rails, and boxes are its playground. Its twin shape (a board that’s perfectly symmetrical from tip to tail) means you ride exactly the same way in regular and switch, which is essential for progressing in freestyle. The classic camber (an arched profile in the center of the board) generates pop and solid grip on groomed snow, requiring a slightly more assertive commitment than a flatter profile. With an accessible and responsive flex, the board forgives imperfect landings while still responding when you really start to push it.

Who is the Bataleon Evil Teen snowboard designed for?

The Bataleon Evil Teen is designed for beginner to intermediate junior snowboarders who want to learn freestyle in ideal conditions.

  • Young riders discovering kickers and rails for the first time
  • Junior snowboarders who want to improve their switch riding and solidify their park fundamentals

A good choice if your young rider wants a board that forgives mistakes and encourages progress.

Not recommended if you’re looking for a board for powder: the Evil Teen isn’t designed for that.

Can you really ride the Bataleon Evil Teen switch without any trouble?

Yes: the perfectly symmetrical twin shape means the board handles exactly the same way in both directions, which really makes learning to ride switch easier. That’s one of the reasons it’s designed to help you progress in freestyle.

What is SideKick technology, and what does it do on this board?

SideKick is Bataleon’s patented 3D construction that slightly raises the edge tips on the sides of the board. The result: fewer unwanted snags when turning, smoother transitions, and greater forgiveness when your edge catch isn’t quite perfect yet.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
