Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Bataleon Men's Disaster is the most accessible jib board in the Bataleon lineup: a twin-tip designed to tear up the rails, with a soft, forgiving flex that encourages you to try big tricks. It’s the mainstream version of the Disaster+, sharing the same freestyle DNA but with more accessible materials.

What is the Bataleon Men’s Disaster snowboard designed for?

The Men’s Disaster is built for jibbing: rails, boxes, urban obstacles—anything that looks like a metal bar or a concrete ledge. The twin-tip shape means the board is perfectly symmetrical, with identical nose and tail, allowing you to ride switch just as easily as you do regular. The classic camber provides pop and edge grip, but it requires an aggressive riding style—there’s no room for passivity. On a rail, this ultra-flexible board absorbs uneven pressure and lets you carve out your tricks without the board resisting.

Who is the Bataleon Men’s Disaster snowboard designed for?

The Men’s Disaster is designed for intermediate to advanced snowboarders who want to make jibbing their main playground, with a board that’s easy to handle.

A good choice if you spend most of your runs on jib lines and features.

Not recommended if you’re looking for a board to land big jumps or hit the powder.

What are the main features of the Bataleon Men’s Disaster snowboard?

Can the Men’s Disaster be ridden switch without compromise?

Yes, without any compromise: the 3D twin shape is perfectly symmetrical, with the nose and tail identical in length, shape, and centered inserts. You’ll experience exactly the same feel in both directions.

How does the Men’s Disaster’s very soft flex affect performance on rails?

On a feature, this soft flex absorbs uneven contact points and lets you reposition your weight without the board resisting. That’s what makes the Men’s Disaster so easy to maneuver for creative tricks on rails and boxes.

Is the Hyper Glide S base suitable for the park?

The Hyper Glide S is a sintered base that offers good speed once waxed and holds up well to repeated impacts on features. For a jib board that’s regularly put through its paces on rails, it strikes the right balance between durability and glide.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
