Description

The model Thunder from Bataleon is a directional twin, which means it's a symmetrical snowboard between the front and the back, which provides a real tail for freestyle, while enabling great descents and a natural flotation in powder. The flex is medium/stiff, not too hard to ride, but with a good amount of bounce, dynamism and stability thanks to its high-end construction. The Light Core wood core, triaxial fiberglass and multiple carbon reinforcements offer great performance without making the board too heavy or stiff. Finally, the classic camber allows you to take full advantage of this construction, giving you great grip on hard snow and maximum ollie pop and bounce in turns. A very versatile and high-performance board that is suitable for extreme freestyle/all-mountain and freeride.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
