When it comes to the quality of the shape, the 3D Deep Daze is one of Burton's most advanced models. It has a three-dimensional shape, with edges raised to form a slight concave all along the board. The effect is immediate in fresh snow, with better lift and a smoother glide. The effects are also appreciable on piste, with a more progressive edge hold without compromising the grip. The flat camber is also optimized for powder while being safe on piste, and the tapered shape offers natural flotation. Construction-wise, you can count on the light and dynamic wood core, reinforced with carbon fibre for better torsional rigidity. It's a toned-down board but not easy to ride, especially with the foot position set back to increase control and manoeuvrability. Made for Deep Days but fun to ride even in less cool conditions, the 3D Deep Daze is your best bet for fun in powder and backcountry.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
