Description

A kid's version of the famous Burton Custom, the Custom Smalls features a twin-tip shape, a camber + rocker profile and a dynamic wood core reinforced with biaxial fiberglass. It's perfect for young and progressive riders and can be used all over the resort.

What is the program of the Burton Custom Smalls snowboard?

The Custom Smalls is a freestyle board with its twin-tip shape, symmetrical to ride either forward or backward. Its medium flex offers a powerful ollie pop, but keeps the tips soft for playability and ease of riding. The classic camber offers good grip on the piste but the rockers soften the transitions between turns and also the lift in powder. Easy to learn but progressive, reactive but playful, this is a great board to progress on. It's a great board to progress with. You can have fun freestyling, but you can also link turns and runs on or off the slopes.

Who is the Burton Custom Smalls snowboard for?

We recommend the Custom Smalls for young intermediate to advanced snowboarders. It is perfect for young riders with a good technical background who like to ride everywhere and need a good compromise between performance and accessibility.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
