The Burton Fish 3D is an extremely directional shaped snowboard, designed to offer maximum maneuverability and flotation. It is distinguished by the very specific cut of its tail, in the shape of a fish tail, a theme that can also be found on the decoration of the sole.

What is the program of the Burton Fish 3D snowboard?

Everything is thought out on the Fish 3D to offer excellent flotation in powder snow. The tapered nose to tail shape, flat camber and the setback position of the binding inserts together offer unlimited lift. In addition, having the feet reclined to the back of the board increases control and makes turning easier. Finally, with the flex well balanced between power and accessibility, the result is a board that excels in powder and handles with great fluidity while responding to finger and eye contact regardless of trajectory and speed. Finally, for on-piste transitions or hard off-piste portions of snow, the flat camber allows you to maintain a secure grip.

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. Is my board ready-to-use ?

The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

How to maintain your equipment ?

Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
