Snowboard Charm

With a flat camber, a very accessible flex and a twin directional shape, the Drake Charm women's snowboard is ideal for beginners or advanced riders in an All-Mountain practice, with the added possibility of doing a little freestyle.

What is the Drake Charm snowboard program?

The Drake Charm snowboard is equipped with a flat camber, which is very advantageous for its grip/tolerance on hard snow. It's very reassuring as it prevents unnecessary edge errors without skidding at every turn. This camber also works well off-piste where it allows you to pass through fresh snow more easily. The twin directional shape, symmetrical but with a backward foot position, permits easy cornering on all types of snow and powder snow. However, the board remains fairly balanced when it comes to switch riding (when you ride with the nose backwards) or doing a bit of freestyle. All in all, it's a very versatile model, easy to ride thanks to its soft flex, with which you can have fun and progress!

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.

Is my board ready-to-use ?

The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

How to maintain your equipment ?

Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
