Description

The Drake Charm is a snowboard developed for beginner or leisure snowboarders. It offers a very versatile directional twin shape. Indeed, the board is symmetrical from nose to tail, providing nice abilities in switch, but the slightly setback foot stance gives more versatility and nimbleness. This position facilitates turn initiations and trajectory control, as well as providing a natural ability to lift when riding off-piste. The result is a very well-rounded board with which you can ride in the entire resort and try some freestyle tricks if you feel like it. In addition, its friendly flex is easy to handle, while the flat camber offers a confidence inspiring edge/snow contact by forgiving small mistakes.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
