The name changes for the Carbon Flagship to the Ultra Flagship, while it maintains the ultra-high-performance construction and shape, making it the most radical board in the entire Jones catalogue is no small feat.

What is the program of the Jones Ultra Flagship snowboard?

The Jones Ultra Flagship features a construction that mixes poplar, bamboo, paulownia and carbon for maximum response and torsional stiffness as well as an exceptional power to weight ratio. Very physical and exclusive, this snowboard, on the other hand, offers stability in all conditions and on all types of snow. The classic camber and the Traction Tech 3.0 corrugated edges provide an imperturbable edge grip, while the long front spatula rocker and the well-setback foot position provide limitless flotation. And for the toughest conditions, extra inserts have been added to allow the bindings to be reclined even further. With the Ultra Flagship, there's no other option but to ride at 200% through big curves and high-speed lines. Ideal for very steep slopes and technical freeriding, it also excels at carving on the track.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. Is my board ready-to-use ?

The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

How to maintain your equipment ?

Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
