Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The K2 Split Bean Package is a mostly pow-oriented splitboard. Its size, swallow tail and directional shape make it ideal to surf in powder with quick lift, floatability and manoeuvrability. Wider than the average, it is recommended to choose a shorter size than usual.

What is the program of the K2 Split Bean Package splitboard?

Under the hood, nothing fancy, just efficiency. The BAP core is made of three wood types and reinforced by biaxial glass fibre to improve the stiffness of the flex and the dynamism of the pop. The directional shape, swallow tail and flat camber with front rocker provide great ease in fresh snow and allow to retain optimum floatability and manoeuvrability, while keeping a dose of playfulness. The grip on hardpack is slightly less efficient than with classic camber yet still offers good performance. Perfect to alternate between touring mode ascents and snowboarding descents, to search for pillow fields behind the trees and have a blast slashing fresh snow.

Who is the K2 Split Bean Package splitboard for?

This model is meant for advanced and expert snowboarders who want to have a blast all day long off-piste with good grip, stability and a responsive flex.

What are the main assets of the K2 Split Bean Package splitboard?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
