With a pure twin-tip shape and flex profile, the Cheap Thrills is as fun and freestyle-oriented as they get, particularly at ease for jibbing. It works well in the entire ski area, offering a secure feel on groomed snow and good riding comfort in the backcountry.

What is the Nitro Cheap Thrills snowboard made for?

The Cheap Thrills is a pure freestyle twin board, always ready to ride switch. The flexible tips allow to do presses, butters and jib tricks effortlessly. The perfect board to ride with a duck stance (-15/+15 binding angles) to ride switch and send plenty of tricks. The flat camber offers a good balance between grip and forgiveness on groomers and works on powder and spring slush as well. Each board size benefits from a specific core thickness guaranteeing optimal flex and handling, no matter the length of the board. Finally, the Whiplash construction boosts the pop for ollies, while the reinforced Raillkiller Edges are ready for any rail or box in the terrain park!

Who is the Nitro Cheap Thrills snowboard aimed at?

This model will satisfy intermediate to advanced level snowboarders seeking a playful board to have fun in the terrain park. The Cheap Thrills will also suit snowboarders who mostly ride groomers and appreciate easy to ride freestyle-oriented boards.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
