Nitro's Fintwin is a snowboard with a directional shape, more compact and wider than normal. It's only available in size 149 cm and a width of 258 mm, classified as Mid-Wide. The result is a board that handles better and floats better in powder. Setback inserts and a tapered shape with a swallow tail contribute to exceptional glide and excellent float in deep snow. The dynamic fibreglass-reinforced wood core offers plenty of energy while maintaining a comfortable ride. It also performs well on groomers thanks to its traditional camber and rockers, which provide good grip and fluidity. In short, the Fintwin will give you maximum pleasure on freeride sessions in the right conditions, but don't be afraid to try it on groomers!

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
