Description

The Nitro Mercy is a park freestyle-oriented snowboard, yet it offers good versatility thanks to its camber + rocker profile. Its twin-tip shape allows to ride both ways and its rather soft flex provides great accessibility and lots of playfulness.

What is the program of the Nitro Mercy snowboard?

With its wood core reinforced by biaxial glass fibre, the Mercy benefits from a soft/medium flex offering accessibility but also pop and responsiveness. Ideal characteristics to ride at your pace on and off-piste and throw yourself with confidence on the terrain park’s features. By the way, you will not fear to damage your board because its edges and sidewalls are reinforced to better resist rails and boxes. The Mercy offers a camber + rocker profile, the camber ensuring grip on hard pack and the rockers facilitating the turns and improving the handling in fresh and soft snow. Therefore, this freestyle board offers versatility for all-mountain riding.

Who is the Nitro Mercy snowboard for?

The Nitro Mercy is ideal for intermediate and advanced female snowboarders looking for a playful and evolutive board to ride the terrain park while retaining good capabilities on piste and in powder.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
