Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Nitro Pantera is a freeride board designed to go fast, carve through turns, and cut through powder with surgical precision. Nitro built it around a simple idea: to give powerful riders a board that doesn’t lose traction, even when speed picks up and the terrain gets technical. A demanding tool, tailored for those who love to push the limits of the resort.

What is the Nitro Pantera snowboard all about?

The Pantera is a versatile freeride board that feels right at home on the trail and off-piste, where the snow is still untouched or falling. Its directional shape means it has a distinct front and back: it carves cleanly and floats in powder, but it’s not designed for riding switch. The classic camber provides solid pop coming out of turns, crisp edge grip when carving, and precision that demands a certain level of commitment from the rider. On groomed runs or in powder, it responds immediately as soon as you load the edges.

Who is the Nitro Pantera snowboard designed for?

The Pantera is designed for advanced to expert riders who already know what they’re doing and are looking for a board that matches their skill level.

  • The freerider who wants to carve up steep slopes and tackle off-piste powder.

  • The powerful rider who loves aggressive turns at high speed.

  • Riders looking for an all-mountain/freeride board—not a park board.

Best suited if: you have solid technique and are primarily focused on freeriding and long runs.

Avoid this if: you’re a beginner or spend a good part of your season in the park or on kickers.

What are the main features of the Nitro Pantera snowboard?

  • Grip

  • Pop

  • Floating in powder

Can the Nitro Pantera be ridden switch?

Its directional shape isn’t optimized for riding switch: the front and back have well-defined roles, and the board is clearly designed to be ridden in one direction only. If riding switch is part of your regular routine, you should opt for a twin-tip board instead.

Does the Pantera perform just as well on groomed runs as it does in powder?

On freshly groomed runs, the edges bite in firmly and the response is immediate: it’s a real treat to carve with this board. In powder, the directional shape and classic camber do an excellent job of providing float and maintaining your line.

Is this board suitable for hitting jumps or riding in the park?

The Pantera isn’t designed for big jumps off a ramp or jib sessions: its DNA is firmly rooted in freeride and natural terrain. For the park, it’s better to opt for a board specifically designed for freestyle.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
