The Nitro Ripper Kids benefits from the typical construction and shape of the modern snowboard. It is symmetrical between the front and the back; it is flexible and has a glass fibre reinforced wood core. It offers the best possible conditions for a child who is just starting out.  

What does the Nitro Ripper Kids snowboard offer?  

The Ripper Kids is a very flexible and light board, but it is also very durable. It is therefore very easy to handle and suitable for kids. The flat camber gives you more forgiveness during edge mistakes and allows you to turn easily. The board is easy to put into a skidding turn and still has enough grip for learning to cut turns on the piste. Finally, the twin-tip shape, perfectly symmetrical from nose to tail and with the inserts well centred, allows the more advanced to try freestyle. You can ride switch without any problem, and the soft flex allows you to easily place ollies and presses.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
