Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Rome Ravine is a directional snowboard, designed to offer maximum control and manoeuvrability on every type of snow. It benefits from a wood core, reinforced by fiberglass and carbon, for lightness and responsiveness. It has a camber + double rocker profile which performs well on various snow conditions, while the Sintered Speed Base guarantees good glide.

What is the programme of the Rome Ravine snowboard?

The Ravine features a directional shape, with a tapered shape and a stiffer flex at the back, combined to a slightly setback foot stance. The handling is greatly improved, with natural lift on powder and great fluidity when turning. This board is easy to ride, you can link turns with style and enjoy lap after lap without getting exhausted. The pronounced traditional camber section provides grip on hardpack, while the rockers on the tips improve the floatability and facilitate edge transitions. A board that is very pleasant to ride and allows to have fun on various terrains and snow conditions.

Who is the Rome Ravine snowboard for?

We recommend this model to advanced/expert snowboarders seeking a board that performs as well on groomers as in the backcountry to ride fast and aggressively all day long.

What are the main qualities of the Rome Ravine snowboard?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
