Description

The Alias is just as good as an adult snowboard, with the same construction, simply adapted to the young morphology in terms of proportions and flex. It's an evolutionary board, which requires some technical basics but which allows you to rapidly progress!

What is the program of the Rossignol Alias snowboard?

The Alias has a twin-tip shape, typical of freestyle snowboards. Anyone looking to carryout tricks or switch can do so without problems, but, be careful, it is also very well suited to more classic practice on the piste. Its camber + rocker profile provides a secure grip on hard snow while maintaining tolerance for edge faults. It's the best way to link turns in total control on the slopes. It also passes well on the edges of the piste, allowing you to vary the pleasures on moguls and on fresh snow. In short, it is a board that enables fun and progression throughout the resort!

Who is the Rossignol Alias snowboard intended for?

A few technical basics are enough to have fun with the Rossignol Alias, which is why we recommend it to young snowboarders from intermediate to advanced levels! It will allow them to continue to progress throughout the resort and for the most daring, to learn freestyle!

What are the main qualities of the Rossignol Alias snowboard?

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
