Snowboard Myth

The Rossignol Myth is ideal for both a beginner looking to learn on the slopes and a snowboarder with some basics who is looking for a board suitable for freestyle. Its soft flex makes it very playful and easy to handle, while its light camber and rockers offer a secure grip on the slopes and a good glide on the edges of the piste. It is thus very pleasant for linking runs on the slopes and having fun on the edges of the slopes, but its symmetrical shape and its playability also allow you to freestyle in the snowpark. Switch runs, presses, small tricks and slides on the rails, it can do it all!

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.

Is my board ready-to-use ?

The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

How to maintain your equipment ?

Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
