The Rossignol Scan Smalls snowboard is ideal for young kids! It features a true wood core, similar to boards for grownups, but with an extremely forgiving flex and camber, making it easy to handle.

What is the programme of the Rossignol Scan Smalls snowboard?

To create a lightweight and easy to ride board, while retaining the durability and mechanic properties of wood, the core of the Scan Smalls has been reduced in width on the entire length. This makes it perfectly adapted to young riders that’ll be able to ride it effortlessly. Its camber + double rocker profile offers excellent grip on groomers while being forgiving for edge catches, preventing kids from falling too much. Ideal to learn the basics at your pace, build your confidence before venturing on more challenging runs and having fun on side hits!

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.

Is my board ready-to-use ?

The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

How to maintain your equipment ?

Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
