Snowboard Smoothie

The Roxy Smoothie is one of the most demanding models from Roxy Snowboards, yet it remains accessible and pleasant to ride. This is why we recommend it from the intermediate/advanced level for someone wanting to descend aggressively. This all-mountain and freeride-oriented board is designed to trace beautiful lines in the entire resort. To do so, you can count on the directional shape, with a tapered shape and setback foot stance, providing precision, easier turn initiations and better control. The slightly setback foot stance is also a major asset on powder, with more weight towards the back, the nose lifts naturally and effortlessly! On the other hand, the board benefits from a hybrid camber which offers smoother glide off-piste compared to a traditional camber, as well as a confidence inspiring edge/snow contact for efficient grip while reducing the probability of catching an edge.

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.

Is my board ready-to-use ?

The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.

How to maintain your equipment ?

Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
