The Salomon Assassin Pro is a directional twin snowboard, symmetrical from front to back, ideal for riding switch and freestyle tricks, with a slightly set-back stance for increased manoeuvrability and versatility. It features a wood core reinforced with carbon fibres and carbon sidewalls near the bindings to enhance pop and response.

What is the Salomon Assassin Pro snowboard made for?

The Assassin Pro is an extremely versatile board, designed for riding on all types of snow, offering great manoeuvrability and playfulness. Its traditional camber ensures excellent edge hold on hard snow, and the rockers at the tips make turn initiation easier and improve float in powder. The set-back stance also helps to engage turns more easily and to improve float in powder. The dynamic flex, without being excessively stiff, provides pop for ollies and responsiveness, while remaining a forgiving board to ride.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
