Description

The Salomon Sight offers a little more responsiveness than a beginner snowboard, but it's still an easy board to ride around the resort. It is easy to handle and very pleasant in turns, while maintaining a good freestyle ability.

What is the program of the Salomon Sight snowboard?

The Sight has a twin directional shape, which means that it is symmetrical between the front and rear to ride in either direction, but the foot position is slightly set back in order to increase the ease of turning and to improve the lift in powder. The flex is intermediate, not too stiff, not too soft. You can go for bounce in turns, you'll appreciate the stability when you get up to speed, but you'll still have comfort in your stance and playability for freestyle. Finally, the camber + rocker profile provides the perfect mix of edge control and forgiveness on the piste, while working well off-piste. A board that's easy to handle, fun to ride and versatile for enjoying the entire resort!

Who is the Salomon Sight snowboard for?

The Salomon Sight is a board rather intended for intermediate snowboarders looking to progress while maintaining playability, but it will also suit a beginner who is a bit sporty or who comes from the world of skiing.

What are the main qualities of the Salomon Sight snowboard?

Compromise between reactivity and playability

Manoeuvrability

Versatility

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
