Snowboard Slash Straight

Note: The actual colour of the board's base may be different than the one shown on the picture. Brands make them randomly.

The Slash Straight is back for another season and it feels better than ever. Its generous nose comes with a long rocker ensuring optimal floatiness on powder snow while the tail cut straight maximises manoeuvrability and performance on and off piste. The board features a Powder Core made of paulownia, poplar and beech woods, offering the best mix of liveliness, lightweight and reactivity. Slash has also equipped their beast with kevlar reinforcements and carbon stringers for added control on difficult terrains. The board feels more damp and absorbs chatter better for a smoother ride in general.

What can the Slash Straight snowboard do?

It is a board made for hunting Big Foot in Nepal. Just find a helicopter and a pilot and have him drop you on the highest peak he can reach so you can bomb the fall line after you switched the brain off. It is a board designed to ride the steepest steeps of the planet. Of course, no need to go to Nepal or Alaska to have fun on this ride. Any mountain will do as long as there are cornices to be stomped, couloirs to be ripped and natural kickers to send tricks off. The Straight is a serious freerider that doesn’t fear much. Stable, floaty and powerful, you can charge down any slope you like.

Who is the Slash Straight snowboard designed for?

The Straight is a freeride weapon suitable for holy powdery days. If you are looking for a off-piste-specific snowboard, you just found it. Just remember that it’s a technical and powerful board, stiff and responsive, that only advanced or expert riders can manage.

Structure - Construction

  • Landing Strip  :

2 strips of Kevlar and Carbon placed from the tail to the inserts and from the nose to the tip of the inserts. this will reduce high velocity quivers.

  • Powder Woodcore  :

Composed of low-density paulownia and poplar woods for their optimal strength and weight, with beech hardwood strips placed through the inserts and along the rails to increase core durability, pop and impact protection. The Powder Core is light, lofty, tough and designed for powder float.

  • Reactive Flex  :

The most advanced board technology available today! A composition of two unique fiberglass layouts in combination with our wood cores that are specifically assembled and profiled by our engineers in Switzerland. Reactive Flex gives our boards the ability to also flex across the width. So, however you bend the board it will react the best way imaginable. for example if you jump on a park rail for a boardslide, the board edges lift up, creating a convex base which minimizes your chance of catching an edge. When carving a turn, it works the other way around. The board edges flex downward, creating a concave base which makes your edge bite more into turns. This is automated flex in 3d!

Shape - Sidecuts

  • Progressive Sidecut  :

The discussion of sidecut is simple, it makes the board turn. Now a step ahead we bring you progressive sidecut which is really benefital with hybrid cambers as the contact points of the board become more relevant for smooth turns.

Rocker - Camber

  • Backseat Camber  :

The Backseat CamRock design places rocker in the nose and a slight amount in the tail with positive camber in between. This setback design delivers camber stability and control between the feet and in the tail, with the added float and maneuverability of the rockered nose.

  • Diamond Stone Finish  :

    Diamond Stone Finish

  • Factory Wax  :

Every snowboard is waxed with our high grade Italian made wax to ensure you’ll be the fastest one down the hill.

  • Sintered HD Base  :

The fastest and densest sintered base on the market. It provides the most impact resistant surface available. This performance base will allow you to load the pack wherever you are headed. Its high-density molecular structure holds wax longer.

  • Ultimate Traction  :

By strategically positioning five bumps along the board’s effective edges instead of using a more conventional serration, the reactivity is enhanced in all conditions. As a result, you will have more control of your board and way more fun!
