Description

The Amplid Morning Glory is the ultimate freeride snowboard. Its S-Rocker was specifically designed for the backside of the mountain, where the snow is ungroomed and the conditions vary. With a section of camber set back on the board and a long rocker covering a third of it, the Morning Glory turns into a real surfboard. Note that it also features a swallow tail for added control and precision.

What can the Amplid Morning Glory snowboard do?

This is an incredible board offering unlimited happiness when the snow has heavily fallen. Of course you can still use the board when there’s no powder around, it works well on groomed snow where it delivers good energy transmissions and grip. But it really excels on the deep. Pick up speed and look at the nose rising above powder surface naturally. The S-Rocker profile delivers agility and allows for big slash turns and precise lines through the woods. The Morning Glory is freeride at its best, no obstacle, no cornice, no terrain can slow it down.

Who is the Amplid Morning Glory snowboard designed for?

It is an exclusive board in the sense that it really loves powder and freeriding. We recommend it to advanced and expert riders who like ripping the backcountry and eating powder as much as they can!

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
