Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Singular is without a doubt the most versatile model from Amplid. To achieve this, it relies on a directional twin shape, classic camber with rocker at the nose and tail, as well as a flex that is well-balanced between power and playfulness.

What is the program of the Amplid Singular snowboard?

The Singular has a directional shape, its nose and tail are the same width to be able to ride switch and do some freestyle, but the binding inserts are slightly positioned toward the back to provide more manoeuvrability for alpine and improve the ability to lift in powder. Its classic camber offers good grip on hardpack and rebound in carved turns, while the rocker areas provide smoothness in edge transfers, while helping to float in deep snow. Regarding the construction, the Omni Core is reinforced by quadriaxial fibre, basalt strips and a longitudinal carbon reinforcement. This combination offers a light weight, medium flex, punchy but still playful, as well as really powerful pop and rebound. The result is a very pleasant board, allowing to have fun in the descents on and off-piste, but also to do some freestyle.

Who is the Amplid Singular snowboard for?

Because of its versatility and good balance between performance/accessibility, the Singular will satisfy a wide range of snowboarders from the intermediate/advanced level.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
