Description

The Snommelier from Amplid is the brand's big freeride gun, designed to push the limits in deep powder. It provides excellent flotation and loves to slash the popf after big snowfalls. Nevertheless, despite its pure freeride DNA, make no mistake. The Snommelier is perfectly capable of carving on piste to vary the sensations on days when conditions aren't up to scratch.

What's in it for the Amplid Snommelier snowboard?

The Amplid Snommelier is aimed above all at pure freeride enthusiasts looking for a board capable of excelling in the peuf while retaining good skills on groomed snow. Featuring a Directional Cruise Camber profile (classic camber between the feet with pronounced rockers in the tip), this board combines solid grip on hard snow with maximum lift thanks to ultra-wide Floatation Tips. Carbon reinforcements further enhance responsiveness under support, while the HEXO2 core lightens the whole without sacrificing inertia, offering maneuverability and control at high speeds.

Who is the Amplid Snommelier snowboard for?

This model is clearly aimed at confirmed or expert riders who have mastered their snowboard, move fearlessly in committed conditions and demand reliable equipment to send hard both off-piste and in supported carving.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
