Amplid's Soulmate is an all-mountain freeride snowboard designed for intermediate to advanced snowboarders. It's the most freeride-oriented of Amplid's three all-rounder boards, with a simple, functional design. It features a camber + rocker profile that combines the benefits of traditional camber and rocker for optimal grip and manoeuvrability, while adding excellent freeride abilities with a directional shape that facilitates turns and improves the behaviour in powder. The stiff but not extreme construction provides good pop and stability, while the grip is formidable on groomers. Ideal for those looking to improve their skills, the Soulmate proves to be a perfect everyday board, enabling intermediate riders to enjoy the mountains.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
