Description

If you're looking for a first contact with the joys of snowboarding, the Contact is worth having a look at. Apo releases a nice gentle board, super easy to manage and perfectly suited for snowboard learners. In the Contact's performance package you'll find versatility, forgiveness and lightweight. The board comes with a C2 Control Core offering a mellow flex for optimal control and with a rockered profile. This helps for initiating your turns and it delivers smoother transitions. The rocker also improves the board's buoyancy allowing for occasional powder forays when conditions are great.

What our testers say : There's hardly anything easier to ride than the Contact. even a skier could deal with it...The flat profile and the soft flex work perfectly together and turn the board into a partner of choice for learning the basics and building confidence throughout the turns. The board is agile and effortless, beginners will easily get a feel for it after a few runs.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
