Description

The A-Frame is quite simply the most rigid and powerful model at Arbor. It features a poplar/paulownia/bamboo wood shell, multi-layered glass fibres and additional carbon reinforcements on the tail, it is loaded while remaining light. As always with Arbor, the construction is intended to be as environmentally friendly as possible, using the FSC wood, recycled steel edges, glue and bio-sourced wax and being manufactured in a solar-powered factory.  

What is the Arbor A-Frame snowboard programme?  

The A-Frame has a tapered shape, with a long front spatula roll, a tighter and stiffer tail and a fairly set back foot position. Everything is done to give you the best possible flotation in the snow, while making it easy to ride on the track. The grip is excellent on hard snow, and the carbon reinforcements on the tail give you a lot of control and boost when carving. This is the ultimate snowboard for those who love high speed riding and long curves, whether on groomed slopes or off-piste.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
