Description

The Blow is an accessible and very playful twin-tip snowboard to send lots of freestyle tricks. As it is forgiving, it also can allow suit novice riders looking for an easy board.

What is the program of the Bataleon Blow Snowboard?

The key word with the Blow is fun, we are dealing with a very playful board, with a soft flex to let your imagination run wild with the most creative flatground tricks. This characteristic is owed to the poplar and beech core, paired to biaxial glass fibre. As it is perfectly symmetrical you can ride switch as easily as regular, leaving total freedom when it comes to freestyle. The light classic camber provides grip on hardpack, while having some forgiveness to avoid catching an edge. As a consequence, it has an enjoyable behaviour on groomed snow, allowing to hone your skills on pistes. The concave 3BT tips improve the glide on fresh snow and offer responsiveness and forgiveness on edge transfers. The Blow benefits from Shock Walls reinforcements, they provide cushioning and protect the board, letting you throw yourself on the terrain park’s features without worrying about your edges.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
