Description

The Chaser is a directional twin, a board with a symmetrical shape that allows you to ride in either direction, but on which the position of the feet have been slightly set back to improve control in turns and floatation in powder snow. This is the ideal shape for a practice that mixes freestyle and all-mountain.

What is the programme of the Bataleon Chaser snowboard?

The Bataleon Chaser has a fibreglass reinforced wood shell, offering a slightly more tonic flex than the entry-level Bataleon Blow, to improve reactivity and stability on the slopes. It remains a very comfortable and playful board, which does not require a lot of strength to perform in turns. However, turns are made easier thanks to the 3BT technology, a slight concave in the spatulas which eliminates unnecessary grip zones and thus reduces the risk of edge faults. The Chaser is easy to ride whether on the slopes or in the small powder snow on the edges of the piste, and its small responsiveness allows you to progress and ride a little harder with each descent. It is very balanced and playful for freestyle, so you can also enjoy it in the snowpark.

Who is the Bataleon Chaser snowboard for?

We recommend this model to snowboarders from beginner to intermediate level, who will like to vary the pleasures in the resort once the basics are established. It's really ideal for a versatile snowboarder looking to enjoy the park as well as the piste and the edges of the piste.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
