Description

The Bataleon Fun.kink features a wood core enhanced by two carbon stringers and a directional twin shape. The flex is medium/soft with good pop and rebound out of turns. The grip is ensured by the classic camber, while the concave tips provide forgiveness.

What is the program of the Bataleon Fun.kink snowboard?

The symmetrical shape from nose to tail and the inserts placed slightly toward the tail allow the Fun.kink to be comfortable in switch while facilitating the handling and floatability in powder. This versatile board has enough tail for tricks and ensures good manoeuvrability. The carbon stringers provide good dynamism, yet the flex remains accessible, the board is not exhausting to ride. The Fun.kink feels comfortable to trace turns on groomers or in powder off-piste, where it remains efficient and allows to learn new tricks in the terrain park as well. A very versatile snowboard with a freestyle/all-mountain program.

Who is the Bataleon Fun.kink snowboard for?

The Fun.kink will please intermediate to advanced snowboarders who want to progress further on various terrains, in freestyle but also in all-mountain/freeride.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
