Who said that you have to have a directional board with a setback foot position to be able to fully enjoy the powder? With the Magic Carpet, you can enjoy an excellent powder ride, while maintaining a perfectly symmetrical board, and therefore perfectly suited to freestyle.  

What is the programme of the Bataleon Magic Carpet snowboard?  

The Magic Carpet has the magic that it offers a crazy flotation for a twin-tip, a style of board usually rather designed for the slopes and snowpark. The magic trick lies in the concave shape of the spatulas, with very raised edges. For those who know Bataleon, it is their 3D 3BT shape technology, here in a version specifically optimised for deep snow. In the centre of the board there is a small section of classic camber that allows you to maintain grip on packed snow. Finally, the flex is well balanced between lightness, performance and Comfort, thanks to a lightweight wood shell reinforced with carbon stringers. It is really the best way to make it rain tricks on the edges of the piste, slaloming in the powder between the pines, without cutting yourself off from the slopes or the park.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
