Description

Bataleon has equipped The Jam with a Super Ultra-Light Core wood shell, really light and powerful, reinforced with triaxial fibreglass, as well as two carbon strips along the centre of the board and carbon stringers against the edges. The result is a powerful, stable and lightweight board, suitable for the entire resort!

What is the programme of the snowboard Bataleon The Jam?

The Jam snowboard has a symmetrical shape for freestyle, but the feet has been slightly set back improving the riding ease and facilitating a better lift in powder snow. It has a very balanced shape that allows you to perform tricks as well as turns. The board is quite stiff and offers real performance during ollies, recovery in turns and stability at high speed. It maintains a zest of flex in the spatulas, facilitating ollies, press, and reducing strain in the thighs. Finally, the slightly concave shape of the spatula reduces the risk of edge errors without reducing performance and slightly improves flotation. There you have it; this snowboard performs well on all types of terrains and is great for tricks!

Who is the Bataleon The Jam snowboard for?

Snowboard The Jam is for experienced snowboarders looking for a board with which they can attack all over the resort and send big tricks.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
