Description

The French brand Borealis manufactures its snowboards with a real concern for its environmental impact, a logic that can be found in the choice of materials, with a wood shell from sustainably managed forests and a Greenpoxy glue that uses a large part of recycled biomass. We also find materials that are less durable but which provide good performance, such as the Carbon Power Beams reinforcements and the Powder Paw, which reduce vibrations and provide a powerful and dynamic board.

What is the programme of the Borealis Artefact snowboard?

The Borealis Artefact is a real Swiss Army Knife, a board that you can take almost anywhere without lacking anything. It is easy to handle and remains flexible at the spatula to facilitate presses and ollies, while holding the speed peaks without shaking. The position of the feet is set back 25 mm making it easier to ride in powder snow and to take curves on all types of terrain, but it remains symmetrical between the nose and the tail allowing it to switch without any problem. It combines pop, stability and playability to perfection, making it a versatile, high-performance board that you can use on piste, in powder snow and in the snowpark.

Who is the Borealis Artefact snowboard intended for?

Accessible from the intermediate/confirmed level thanks to its performance/playability compromise, this board will delight a wide range of snowboarders looking for maximum versatility.

What are the main qualities of the Borealis Artefact snowboard?

Efficient on all terrains

High performance yet comfortable

At ease in freestyle

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
