The Borealis Botanica is a directional twin, symmetrical to ride switch but with inserts slightly located toward the tail for more versatility and control. With a setback stance, the nose lifts better in pow and turns are easier to initiate on any terrain. You also find a classic camber + double rocker profile, the classic camber provides grip on hardpack and the rockers help with floatability and dampen unevenness off-piste. This way, the Botanica allows to venture anywhere like a freeride board, while retaining the ability to ride switch and do some freestyle. Construction wise, you will enjoy a good balance between power and accessibility. This board offers rebound in turns, hold its edge well and proves to be stable at high speed, yet remains very accessible physically. Because of its versatility and balance, it will be ideal for an intermediate to advanced female snowboarder who wants to ride at various paces and enjoy all kinds of fun in the entire resort.

Tips and advice

Size of your board?

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
