Description

Note: The colour of the bases may be different from the picture displayed on the website, manufacturers combine colours randomly.

The Borealis Marauder is a directional snowboard, designed to offer maximum cornering feel and speed, with high-end construction and a level of performance equivalent to a carving snowboard. It features a Power Core 2 wood core offering an excellent power-to-weight ratio, as well as a high-density Sintered 9 900 Base offering excellent glide quality.

What's in it for the Borealis Marauder snowboard?

The Marauder is a highly directional board, with a tapered shape and set-back foot position that deliver natural lift in powder and excellent flotation in powder. The flex is toned without being too stiff, and the result is a board that offers ollie pop, turn relaunch and high-speed stability. The classic camber and wavy edges provide effective grip on hard snow. It's therefore a very versatile board, which allows you to ride on all types of snow and enjoy the whole resort without limits.

Who is the Borealis Marauder snowboard for?

We recommend this model to intermediate to advanced snowboarders who like to ride fast and trace beautiful curves all over the resort, and who are therefore looking for a high-performance but balanced board to be able to have fun and go off-piste.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
