Description

The Custom X Flying V is the supercharged version of the Custom Flying V. It features the hybrid camber, the key to the versatility of this board, but with a construction offering a better power-to-weight ratio and therefore more performance, thanks to a DragonFly 600G Core and carbon fiber reinforcements. Also included are other Burton technologies such as the Frostbite Edges that increases grip and the Squeeze Box construction that increases pop and playability without losing power.

What is the program of the Burton Custom X Flying V snowboard?

The Burton Custom X is a top of the range machine, with which you can cut the slopes, slash the powder or send on the kickers in the snowpark. The Flying V camber, a mix of inverted and classic camber, combines more versatility and playability. You can really go anywhere, especially with the slightly setback position of the feet, which makes it easier to get out of the snow, while also allowing you to take turns with less effort. On the track, the grip is sufficient to attack in cut turns and for freestyle enthusiasts, this is a well-balanced board with which you can easily set your tricks. Did you say versatility?!

Who's the Burton Custom X Flying V snowboard for?

This model is ideal for the experienced to expert snowboarder who likes to ride on all types of terrain, accelerate and set the pace on the slopes, but also switch and set tricks.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
