Description

The Custom series is growing for 2015. We already knew the Custom, the Custom X, the Custom Flying V, and we're happy to introduce the brand new Custom Twin Flying V. If the three of them feature similar constructions, the Custom X stands out and incorporates a DrogonFly core instead of the SuperFly featured on the others. This specific core delivers more horsepower than the others and the carbon used makes the board torsionally stiffer. That means the Custom X is a souped up version of the Custom, designed for riders who charge hard and fast.

What our testers say : The Custom X is the most powerful board in the Custom series. Suited for agressive riding, it's a good match for expert riders looking for something lively and responsive on all terrains. The board rides literally anything, the traditional camber gives it tons of grip on the hardpack while the directional shape enhances powder manoeuverability. If you like speed and versatility, the Custom X is a safe bet.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
