Description

A real jewel for all-mountain snowboarding, the Burton Custom has established its reputation season after season. No change this year, we find the directional twin snowboard we love, dynamic but physically accessible, technical and precise but also playful for freestyle.

What is the Burton Custom snowboard programme?

The Burton Custom is a snowboard that allows you to send all over the resort. Its twin directional shape combines the manoeuvrability and versatility of a directional board with the freestyle skills of a twin-tip board. The wood core is reinforced with carbon fibre for a well-balanced flex, offering a dynamic pop and stability, while maintaining playability. The classic camber maximizes stability, grip and pop. It's a high-performance board that allows you to put some rhythm into your runs, but with which you can also charge big tables in the snowpark and jib on the modules.

Who is the Burton Custom snowboard for?

We recommend this model to experienced or expert snowboarders looking for a versatile snowboard to ride all over the resort and even off-piste, with the possibility of freestyling and maintaining a comfortable ride.

What are the main qualities of the Burton Custom snowboard?

Versatility

Compromise of performance and playability

Manoeuvrability

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
