Description

The Mystery Con Artist is a high-end snowboard, featuring the best technologies from Burton for an ultra-dynamic and lightweight result. You find the Dragonfly II 500G core, Burton’s lightest core featuring laminated carbon reinforced by the Mystery Glass (a complex carbon weave designed by a robot), for a perfectly controlled flex, great energy and ultra-light weight. As the cherry on top, you find the Methlon base, the most technical base from Burton, offering ultra-fast glide while remaining robust and easy to maintain.

What is the program of the Burton Mystery Con Artist snowboard?

The Burton Mystery Con Artist is a true freeride gem. Thanks to its very high-end construction, as well as its very manoeuvrable shape that is efficient on any type of snow, it will allow you to change terrains at will and experience maximum sensations. The freeride shape, with a taper, setback inserts and directional camber, allows to easily lift over powder and facilitates handling. You have maximum precision for your trajectories, the camber provides good edge hold on hardpack and yet, the flex is not too stiff, so you keep some comfort and nice sensations. You can have a blast both carving a freshly groomed slope or looking for powder in the trees. It's up to you depending on your wishes and the conditions.

Who is the Burton Mystery Con Artist snowboard for?

The Mystery Con Artist will satisfy advanced/expert snowboarders looking for a high-end freeride snowboard with which they will be able to shred any terrain, enjoy deep conditions and have fun on groomers while retaining some riding comfort.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
