Description

The Mystery returns and stands at the highest end of Burton's freeride range. This explosive bomb incorporates the latest available technologies, even the NASA doesn't have them. Featuring one of the lightest cores ever made named the Ultrafly and made of composite materials and fiberglass reinforcements, the board is as responsive as it gets. To emphasise this liveliness, Burton gave the board a traditional camber for 2015, enhancing edge control and stability but also energy transmissions and rebound. The directional shape makes the board easier to manoeuver at high speeds and improves its floatation on powder.

What our testers say : The Mystery swaps its Flying V camber for a traditional one and that makes a world of difference. The board gets more reactive and works better through rougher terrains. It feels more powerful and more stable too, inspiring new adventures. It's an excellent choice for advanced riders who like to carve trenches with a board that uses state-of-the-art technologies.

Tips and advice

The length of your board is extremely important. Several parameters have to be taken into account : Your height, your weight, your level and your program (allmountain-freeride-freestyle). We created a calculator that will tell you what size of board would suit you best, once you've completed these parameters. You can also call us (+33 4 73 26 98 47) to get a personal advice from our experienced team.
The snowboards you'll purchase on our website are all factory waxed and tuned. That means it's ready to hit the slopes. However, that doesn't work forever, and in order to keep your equipment at the top performance, you need to maintain base and edges on a regular basis.
Maintaining your skis is essential to ensure an optimal glide and grip. Frequency of maintenance may vary depending on how often you use your board, or on how damaged it is. We recommend that you wax it every 10 riding days, and at the end of the season. Edges need to be tuned up to 2 times per season if you want to keep a good edge control. However, don't get them overtuned because every tuning takes some of the steel off.

When your base is damaged and shows shallow scratches or rock gouge, it is possible to repair it.

You can get these repairs done by professional ski shop, or if the gouge is only superficial you may repair it yourself. To do so, you will need special tools and materials such as wax, Ptex for repairing bases, edge tuners, etc. You can find them on our website.
